Description

We are pleased to announce a lecture at the School by the Chief of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene for UNICEF, Sanjay Wijesekera. Please join us for what promises to be an extremely interesting talk on the Sustainable Development Goals.

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development has set us on a new course towards universal, sustainable and inclusive access to water, sanitation and hygiene. What does this mean for the world’s children? Is this just a continuation of the MDG agenda, or something radically different?

Sanjay Wijesekera will reflect upon the unique potential of Sustainable Development Goal [SDGS] 6 and its links to the other Goals to improve the lives of women and children around the world. And, by underscoring the need for transformative change in order to deliver universal access, Sanjay will discuss the implications of the SDGs for the agendas of governments, development partners, practitioners and researchers.
